Important life lessons I want my kids to know…

Road ahead

Hello, my dear readers and fellow bloggers! I wanted to share for a long time now, one of my favorite blog posts I wrote a few years ago for another site. It was a post about important life lessons. I wrote the post with my kids in mind and some of the most important life lessons I think they should learn. I hope that these lessons will help them become as happy and creative as possible in life. Surely, as life continues, more lessons will be added to the list in the future, since we really never stop learning. The good thing is…

Greek Christmas Carols

merry christmas with greek carols

I try to keep up with my own little family traditions, like baking Christmas cookies, preparing treats or make our own Christmas ornaments. But there is also a very important Christmas tradition that almost every family in Greece keeps. On the morning before Christmas Eve, the singing of  Greek Christmas Carols is taking place, bringing the joyful news to every home. How the Greek Christmas Carols Tradition Unfolds There are slightly different details on how this tradition happens from place to place. So, you can find differences in the actual time the Carols are being told, who sings them and…

Lovely Autumn Moments

fall leaf path

Hello everybody! We had a short but nice trip today and decided to take a detour to a river. It’s the Aliakmonas River (the longest river in Greece). According to Wikipedia “the name Αλιάκμονας is composite and derives from άλς (salt, sea) and άκμων (anvil). In Greek mythology, Haliakmon was one of the Potamoi, who were sons of Oceanus and Tethys, according to the allegorical obsessive-anthropomorphic concept familiar to the Ancient Greeks, on geological upheaval after Deucalion’s deluge.” I wanted to take this route for a long time and thought that this time of year it would be stunning. And it was! So I wanted to share a few pictures I shoot…

Visiting the Dinosaur Park

t-rex

(Διαβάστε το άρθρο στα ελληνικά στο PosimagineGR) Last Saturday we made a trip to the new Dinosaur Exhibition in Thessaloniki with our kids and friends. I shoot a lot of pictures, and so I wanted to share with you our experience! The place the exhibition was set up is the same place where the International Fair of Thessaloniki takes place. We arrived there just a little too late (as always) but since there were many people as late as we, they did let us in. At first, it was not that impressive and we grown-ups did have a second thought…

Visiting the 82nd International Fair of Thessaloniki

The entrance to the 82th International Fair Of Thessaloniki

(Διαβάστε το άρθρο στα ελληνικά στο PosimagineGR) Every year in Thessaloniki, a major international fair takes place. It’s kind of a tradition to go and see some of the exhibitors and events that happen there. This year we went as a family, which has its pros and cons. On the positive side, the children see things they don’t see every day and have a fun day, but on the negative side we adults don’t get to see all that we want because kids do get tired so soon (know what I mean?). Well, anyway, we had fun and I wanted…

First post… ever!

So this is me, posting for the first time. I just want to say hello to the traveler that sees my posts. This is going to be a positive, most of the times, blog. It is about children and what makes them feel good. Because whatever makes children feel good, can’t be bad for the grown up’s either, can it? Enjoy your stay and drop by whenever you feel like it!
